FILING A MOTOR CLAIM UNDER THE MOTOR CLAIMS FRAMEWORK (MCF)

Introduction

With effect from 1 June 2008, the MCF spearheaded by the General Insurance Association of Singapore and supported by us as your insurer took effect.

Under this framework, we expect our motor policyholders involved in a Road Traffic Accident in Singapore to report the accident within 24 hours or by the next working day to either one of the following centres:

  • Anyone of our 8 Premier Workshops
  • Anyone of the Independent Damage Assessment Centres – IDAC

If there is a breach of the above expectation, your No Claim Discount (NCD) attaching to your motor policy will be adversely affected.

- When Reporting A Motor Accident at a nominated Accident Reporting Centre
- Non-Traffic Accident Damages/Fire/Theft of Insured Vehicle
- Road Traffic Accidents in Malaysia
- Making an Own Damage Claim
- Making a Third Party Property Damage Claim
- Receiving a Claim from the Third Party and/or Third Party Solicitors
